:dateline:In an unprecedented move, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has imposed a ban on the entry of foreigners in all the Sikh shrines being controlled by it. Only those foreigners will be allowed to enter into Gurdwara Sahibans who have completed a regular stay of 15 days in India since their entrance.
Sharing the development with media, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that they have taken this decision as per the advice of experts amid coronavirus outbreak.
We have mandated it for our staff to wash their hands for 20-30 seconds before entering into the Sikh shrine, he said while adding that the staff members would have to wash their hands before quitting Gurdwara premises too.
Sirsa further informed that the DSGMC has also stopped organizing the langar outside Gurdwara premises and the entry of outside langar material is has also been banned. The staff deployed in the free kitchen houses has been specially counseled to nullify the chances of infection entrance and propagation, he added.
We request all the devotees with trimmed hairs to bring a cloth to cover their heads along with them as we have stopped giving cloths at all the Sikh shrines, Sirsa said.
We have banned the entry of foreigners who have not completed their 15-day stay in India in all gurdwaras in the city to check the transmission of novel coronavirus.#SafetyFirst

You mean to sat that Bangla Sahib, where Guru Harkrishan Ji, treated those that were infected with a disease and where ‘holy water’ is given to all, to protect them is know banning people with the Virus. This is a bit hypocrtical. Surely it should be about managing rather than banning.
