Portraits of four Sikh personalities installed in central Sikh museum

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh today unveiled the portraits of four Sikh personalities namely Shaheed Baba Gurbakhsh Singh, Baba Sucha Singh, Baba Bhan Singh Ludhiana and Lieutenant Ram Singh in central Sikh museum of Sri Harmandir Sahib. Sri Darbar Sahib’s additional head granthi Giani Jagtar Singh was also accompanying him.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Giani Harpreet Singh said that the Sikh community respects its martyrs and other religious personalities. “That’s why the portraits of such Sikh personalities are installed in the central Sikh museum, which is the greatest honor,” he added.

Shedding light on the contribution made by these Sikh personalities, Giani Harpreet Singh said that the martyrdom of Shaheed Baba Gurbakhsh Singh, who courageously and bravely fought for defending the holiest Sikh shrine against Ahmad Shah Abdali, is great in itself. He also hailed the services of other three great Sikh personalities namely Baba Sucha Singh Jawaddi Kalan, Baba Bhan Singh Ludhiana and Lieutenant Ram Singh Bahadur.

It is noteworthy here that Lieutenant Ram Singh Bahadur had avenged the martyrdom of Saragarhi martyrs.
