:dateline:In the wake of looming threat of coronavirus, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has cancelled all its conferences and protest rallies scheduled till March 21 including the political conference to be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib on March 9.�
It is pertinent to note here that the Congress party was already not organizing the political conferences on the occasion of the Hola Mahalla for the past several years. Similarly, the the Aam Aadmi Party is also not going to do any conference this time.�
But the Shiromani Akali Dal leaders were preparing to hold this political conference very enthusiastically by going village to village.
But yesterday late night, the chief spokesman of the Shiromani Akali Dal and former education minister of Punjab Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema has announced not to hold a political conference on March 9 by giving preference to public interest and people’s health due to the Corona virus, spread across the country.
“Due to inclement weather & the safety concerns on account of Coronavirus, Akali Dal has cancelled the scheduled Protest Rally at Mansa for March 7. Following advisories from experts to avoid large gatherings, we have postponed all rallies till March 21. Take care & stay safe!,” Sukhbir Badal tweeted on March 6.�
Before this, SAD spokesperson Dr. Daljiit Singh Cheema tweeted on March 5 that the SAD has postponed its following programs keeping in view the safety of the people including Holla Mohalla Conference of March 9 and Dist level Conferences of Fazilka March 11, Hoshiarpur March 14, Kapurthala Mach 18, FG Sahib March 21.

The SAD has postponed its following programs keeping in view the safety of the people :
Holla Mohalla Conference of March 9 and Dist level Conferences of Fazilka March 11, Hoshiarpur March 14, Kapurthala Mach 18, FG Sahib March 21.
