:dateline:Two Hoshiarpur based men have been found positive in the preliminary test for the novel corona virus in Amritsar. The duo suspects had recently arrived in Amritsar from Italy on March 3.
The blood samples of the duo suspects have been sent for final confirmation to the National Institute of Virology, Pune.
Interacting with media, Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhdeep Kaur informed that the duo suspects were admitted in the isolation ward of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital after they showed symptoms of the disease on their arrival at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar, through Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
�Probably, we will get their final report by this evening or tomorrow morning,� she added.
GNDH�s medical superintendent Dr. Raman Sharma informed that the duo suspects are not being allowed to contact anyone while they are under observation.
