Sikh parliamentarian Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi becomes member of UK’s Defense Select Committee

LONDON, UK—British Sikh parliamentarian Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi has been appointed as a member of Defense Select Committee of the United Kingdom He is the first person of black and Asian community who got this important position.

It is notable here that Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi was also a delegate member of NATO’s Parliament Assembly earlier.

Parliamentarian Dhesi has been continuously working on defense related departments after getting elected as a Parliament member.

“It is prideful for me to be a member of Defense Select Committee. This will give me an opportunity to learn about the Armed Forces as it is very important for the security of the country.” Dhesi said.
