:dateline:The Tarn Taran police have arrested 2 looters by solving INR 15 million robbery occurred on February 24 by showing arms to Dera Kaar Sewa’s cashier Baba Mohinder Singh, while 4 looters are still absconding who are having looted amount with them.
The Police have disclosed that Satnam Singh, mastermind of this robbery, used to work as a driver in Dera Kaar Sewa headed by Baba Jagtar Singh.
SSP Dhruv Dahia said in a press conference that raids were being launched at various locations by forming teams under the leadership of DSP (D) Harish Behal, DSP Parvesh Chopra, DSP Sucha Singh Bal and SHO Tarn Taran City Tushar Gupta under the patronage of SP (D) Jagjit Singh Walia.
He further said that Sub Inspector of city police station Tarn Taran has arrested Sukhchain Singh Chaina S/O Prem Singh of Village Khumania District Amritsar with looted amount of 1.2 million Rupees at a check post.
He said that it has come to fore that Satnam Singh alias Satta s/o Angrej Singh of village Sangha was working as a driver at Dera Baba Jagtar Singh Tarn Taran and was well aware about the internal situation of Dera.
To commit this robbery, Satnam Singh orchestrated a plan with his Brother’s brother in law Sukhchain Singh alias Chaina that a larger amount of money is brought and taken out in Dera, so they can loot a large ransom.�
SSP said that Sukhchain Singhhas criminal profile and has many cases registered against him in different police stations of Amritsar.
Sukhchain Singh has good relations with Lakhwinder Singh S/O Dalbir Singh of Village Kamboke District Amritsar and Tarsem Singh Grota S/O Mukhtiar Singh of village Khurmania District Amritsar. He said Lakhwinder Singh and Tarsem Singh have relations with Sukhwinder Singh Baba S/O Balbir Singh Balwinder Singh alias Billa S/O Tarsem Singh of village Khurmania and all of these are good friends.
SSP Dhruv Dahia said that a Swift Dezire car was used to commit this robbery under the conspiracy of Satnam Singh. He said that all these persons looted 15 million Rupees from Dera and 1.2 million has been recovered and raids are being launched to arrest the remaining absconding criminals Satnam Singh, Tarsem Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Balwinder Singh by forming the police teams and they will be arrested very soon.
DSP Harish Behal, DSP Parvesh Chopra, Tushar Gupta, Inspector CIA Harrit Sharma, SHO Chabhal police station were also present at this occasion.�
