CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The executive committee of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (Adhock) has been dissolved. HSGPC’s general secretary Joga Singh shared this information with Sikh24 on February 28.
He said that HSGPC president Jagdish Singh Jhinda has resigned from his post due to his poor health. “Out of the total 41 members, one member has resigned from ad hoc committee, while three others have expired and now there are only 37 members in the ad hoc committee,” he added.
He further said that now 11 new executive committee members will be elected during the meeting, which will be held in Cheika.
He informed that SGPC member Harbhajan Singh has a filed petition in Supreme Court against the formation of HSGPC and hearing of this petition is due on April 21 this year, in which lawyer of present Punjab government is bound to take the stand that he has no objection for the formation of a new committee for Haryana.
