:dateline:Interacting with media on February 28 in Khemkaran, rebel Akali leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that the primary focus of like-minded leaders is on SGPC elections as its the need of hour to get our historic Sikh shrines liberated from the influence of nepotism. Notably, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and his son Parminder Singh Dhindsa have been ousted from the Shiromani Akal Dal by Sukhbir Singh Badal for revolting against his dictatorship.
On being questioned about the possibility of constituting a political party to contest 2022 assembly polls, Dhindsa said that the public of Punjab wants a change and the upcoming time has high chances of success for the third party but we would have to reinstate publics faith in us. There is almost a two years of time in the 2022 elections so now our primary focus is on SGPC, he added.
Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa was in Khemkaran to attend the wedding of United Akali Dal leader Satnam Singh Manawas son. Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, UAD president Bhai Mohkam Singh, AISSF president Manjit Singh Bhoma etc. were also present on this occasion.
