CHANDIGARH, Punjab—An international conference commemorated to the 550th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji will commence today Punjab University, Chandigarh. The Bar council of Punjab and Haryana is hosting this two day host conference which will be inaugurated by Chief Justice S.A. Bobre.
A book written by famous writer of U.K. Prof. Nikki Guninder Kaur titled ‘The First Sikh-The Life and Legancy of Guru Nanak’ will be also released in this conference.
Harpreet Singh Brar, who heads the Bar Council, informed that Supreme Court’s judge Justice Surya Kant will be chief guest of this conference today. The session will be presided over by Justice Cheema Grub from England.
He further informed that there will be five sessions of this conference. Among others Justice Rinjin Panjor of the Supreme Court Bhutan, Justice of Sri Lanka Supreme Court P.P. Surasena, Ravi Shankar Jha, chief justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Manan Mishra, Chairman of the Bar Council of India, Horacio Bernardes Neto, Chairman of the International Bar Council, Ghana High Commissioner Michael A.N. Ukave, Indira Banerjee, justice of Supreme Court Delhi will attend sessions.
