In Hoshiarpur, the shutdown call also remained almost successful, but the opposition by BJP workers there turned the atmosphere bitter. However, the Police prevented a potential face-off between Sikhs and BJP activists at the Clock?Tower, where parallel sit-ins were staged.

In Fatehgarh Sahib, the protesters took out a march in the city. They also tried to block highway but the police cops didnt let them do so.
