12,000 floral plants including 425 types of Roses to be planted in Guru Ka Bagh of Sri Harmandir Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Around 12,000 floral plants including 425 types of Rose, 4 types of Sandalwood are going to get planted in ‘Guru Ka Bagh’ of Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Chief secretary of SGPC Dr. Roop Singh said that 25 types of Rose plants have been already planted which were brought from Dehradun and more 400 types of plants are being received from Mangalore.

He added that 4 different types of Sandalwood plants are also being planted in this garden with the cooperation of Baba Sewa Singh of Khadoor Sahib.Other 10,000 plants include 13 types of colored Petunias, 7 types of colored Dog flower and Ranunculus, six types of colored Painji and Verbena, 5 types of colored Gazania and 4 types of colored Gudeshia etc.

He further said that 70 types of evergreen floral plants will also be planted and this work will be completed by next month.
