dateline:On the eve of the new year, four time Canada parliamentarian Sukh Dhaliwal paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib to thank Guru Sahib for getting elected as parliament member fourth time. He said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is a central axis of Sikh community and Sikhs living in all over the world get peace of mind here.�
He further said that getting the responsibility to serve in the parliament of Canada is because of the love of Punjabis and blessings of Guru Sahib. He added that every Punjabi living in Canada wants development and prosperity of Punjab. Punjab is a land of Gurus and Sikhs have got great achievements in the world due to glorious culture of Sikhism.
He further said that there is a large number of Punjabi MPs in the Government of Canada and it is a matter of pleasure that many resolutions have been moved in the Parliament of Canada praising Sikhs.
During this Sukh Dhaliwal was honored in the information center of Sri Darbar Sahib by SGPC member Gurcharan Singh Grewal and Ram Singh.
Grewal appreciated Sukh Dhaliwal for his achievements in Canada. He also declared Sukh Dhaliwal’s proposal for declaring 1984 Sikh carnage as Sikh genocide in Canadian Parliament as a historic step.
It is pertinent to note here that Sukh Dhaliwal hails from Jagraon and has been elected as an MP from Surrey Newton constituency of Canada.
