More than 60 million devotees paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib in 2019

:dateline:As per an estimate, more than 60 million devotees paid obeisance at sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib in the current year 2019. A lot of noted international politicians, religious personalities, social activists and Bollywood actors also paid obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine.

More than 1,50,000 devotees throngs to Sri Harmandir Sahib on every ordinary day and this count increases to twice or thrice on weekends, Gurpurabs and other special days.

For the first time in history, a group of diplomats from 84 countries paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib on October 22 this year. Beside it, the former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott also paid obeisance at the central Sikh shrine on November 17.

Justin Welby, the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib along with his wife Calorine Welby on September 10.

Dalailama, the 14^th Spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists, also paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib this year on November 9. �
