:dateline:Renowned billionaire capitalist Tim Draper has expressed concern over the policies of BJP led Indian government by saying that the Indian government’s policy of choosing one religion over another has made him concerned about his plans to fund business there.
“India choosing one religion over another makes me seriously concerned about my plans to fund businesses there,” he tweeted on December 19 when the countrywide protests against Citizenship Amendment Act and proposed NRC have stormed India.

Interacting with media, Tim Draper said that better treatment of one group of people over another compounds the regulations with unfairness, which pervades society like cancer. “I don’t want to invest to support bad behavior,” he added.
He has further said that the Draper Venture Network is a network of fairness, openness and transparency. “We are guiding our invested companies toward free markets and other basic freedoms, religion, assembly and speech,” he maintained.�
Clarifying his stance on secularism, Tim Draper said he believes people are people, no matter what they believe in.�
Tim Draper is renowned for his investments in companies like Skype, Tesla and Baidu. After exiting India six years ago, he re-entered India�through a partnership with Blume Ventures.
In 2007, Draper’s venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) had invested $70 million in a number of companies including Cleartrip, Komli Media and iYogi. In 2013, the DFJ left India citing a corrupt environment and�issues with Indian entrepreneurs. The DFJ had sold its entire India portfolio to NewQuest Capital Partners.
