DSGMC announces to open “1984 Stores” for helping genocide victim families

NEW DELHI, India—Claiming a focus on helping the 1984 Sikh genocide victim families, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is going to open stores named “1984 Stores” in all the 10 historic Gurdwaras situated in Delhi. It is learnt that these stores will be one-stop shop for grocery items, articles of Sikh faith and religious literature.

Sharing the development with media, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa informed that members of the 1984 Sikh genocide victim families will be deployed in these stores to ensure availability of livelihood to them. “These stores will be operated on the basis of a co-operative society model,” he added.
