Four cycle stands setup in Sultanpur Lodhi for offering smooth pilgrimage to devotees

:dateline:Four bicycle stands have been setup for devotees thronging in Sultanpur Lodhi. The Punjab government has taken this initiative for facilitating smooth pilgrimage to the devotees who are coming to pay obeisance in Sultanpur Lodhi. The pilgrims can take these cycles to go to different Gurdwara Sahibs by submitting their identity cards for the whole day and they would have to return back this cycle in the evening.

First cycle stand has been setup near city council, second near bus stand, third near Gurdwara Ber Sahib and fourth cycle stand near Gurdwara Sri Hut Sahib.

Mr. Rishabh, supervisor of Hero Company, said that each cycle stand contains 25 cycles and anybody can take a cycle for the whole day. Identity card of related person is collected and given back after returning the cycle. He further told that this cycle stand was started on 31st October and more than 1500 devotees have taken the benefit of this facility so far. More than 200 devotees are using these cycles every day.

Mr. Amandeep Singh of Avtar Singh Nagar (Jalandhar) said that he had come here to pay obeisance in Gurdwara Ber Sahib only, but now he has decided to visit all the historical Gurdwaras situated in Sultanpur Lodhi. So, he wants to go to all Gurdwara Sahibs by taking a bicycle from these cycle stands. For this purpose, he has taken a bicycle by submitting his identity card.
