Bihar CM Nitish Kumar pays obeisance, listens kirtan at Sri Harmandir Sahib

:dateline:On November 7, the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar paid obeisance at sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib. He was accompanied by several cabinet ministers including Bihar assembly speaker Sri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and administrative staff.

All of them arrived at the central Sikh shrine after attending the ongoing celebrations of Guru Nanak Sahib’s 550th birthday at Sultanpur Lodhi.

After paying obeisance inside sanctum sanctorum, Nitish Kumar listened Gurbani Kirtan being performed by Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Onkar Singh.

The SGPC honored him with Siropao (robe of honor), Loi (shawl), a gold model of Sri Harmandir Sahib and a set of religious books.

Interacting with media, Nitish Kumar said that global peace and mutual relationship are the primary face of the Guru Nanak Sahib’s messages. He added that this was high time to promote and adopt the lessons taught by Guru Nanak Sahib.

SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal hailed Nitish Kumar for the role played by him in the 350th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. ��
