Kartarpur Corridor: Passports of Sikh pilgrims will be stamped on entry and exit

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Giving an end to the speculations being aired by certain media outlets about no stamping on the passports of Sikh pilgrims at Kartarpur corridor, the Pakistan authorities have made it clear that an entry and exit stamp will be marked on the passports of Sikh pilgrims paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib via Kartarpur corridor.

As the corridor has been made to avail visa-free access of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib to the Sikhs residing in India so the visa-stamping will be done on the passports of Sikh pilgrims. But as per the immigration rules, the passports of Sikh pilgrims will be stamped on entry and exit.

It is noteworthy here that some media outlets had earlier claimed that the immigration staff of Pakistan will only scan the passports of Sikh pilgrims.

Meanwhile, the mainstream Indian media outlets have started propaganda to scare the Sikh pilgrims that stamping by Pakistan government on their passports will make their passports worthless and no developed country like UK, USA, Canada etc. will grant visas to them.
