Wahegru Foundation Launches 3rd Annual Book & Toy Drive Campaign in England

Nationwide campaign in UK to donate new books & toys to The Children’s Society and NHS Children’s Wards to help bring joy and happiness to children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

LONDON, UK—The Wahegru Foundation announced its 3rd annual Book & Toy Drive across England. The campaign will raise a collection of new books, toys and gifts over the Christmas period for underprivileged, orphaned and refugee children.

The nationwide campaign is held every year in memory of the four princes and mother of the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This year, the project is underway to support The Children’s Society and NHS Children’s Wards.

“The Wahegru Foundation will be collecting donations from 20 sites across England to provide gifts for young people who may find the holiday months to be a difficult time,” Harsimrat Singh, Chairman of the Foundation told Sikh24.

“Thanks to the generous support of donors, the Wahegru Foundation was able to give over 3,000 gifts to charities in 2018 and hope to beat that target this year. Donations will be taken from the 14th October till the 13th December 2019, giving donors plentiful time to make a contribution towards this noble cause,” he noted in a press statement.
