Kartarpur Corridor: India delays opening of registration portal amid disagreement over $20 entry fee

:dateline:Amid disagreement over the $20 entry fee imposed by Pakistan, the Indian government didn’t open the online portal for the registration of Sikh pilgrims aspirant of paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib via Kartarpur corridor. Notably, the Land Port Authority of India had earlier announced to open this registration portal on October 20.

It is pertinent to note here that the federal government of Pakistan has imposed this negligible entry fee to manage the expenses to be incurred when the Kartarpur corridor will get operational. However, the Indian government is opposing the imposition of this entry fee.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani PM Imran Khan has announced to open the Kartarpur corridor for the Sikh pilgrims on November 9.
