:dateline:Several visuals of Gurdas Maan paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib (Sultanpur Lodhi) and getting honored with Siropao (robe of honor) had surfaced over social media yesterday. Following this, a sharp outrage had erupted among common masses as Gurdas Maan is under fire these days for betraying Punjabi language by supporting Hindi as a national language.

Bowing to public pressure, the SGPCs chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh has ordered investigation into the incident of honoring Gurdas Maan with Siropao by the SGPC officials at Gurdwara Ber Sahib (Sultanpur Lodhi).

Dr. Roop Singh has made it clear that Gurdas Maan has betrayed the Punjabi language and the SGPC strongly criticizes him for this. The SGPC is adamant on its stance till Gurdas Maan doesnt apologize from the entire Punjabi community, he added.

Dr. Roop Singh informed that SGPC secretary (section 25) Mohinder Singh Aahli will probe the incident and a quick action will be taken against the guilty employees.

He further informed that the SGPC is also gathering information about the cheque given by Gurdas Maan worth Rs. 1.2 million on the name of a cult. He clarified that SGPC cant compromise with the Sikh ethos at any cost.
