Rajinikanth opposes Amit Shahs call to accept Hindi as a national language

:dateline:The South Indian movie actor Rajinikanth has opposed the Indian Home Minister Amit Shahs call of making Hindi, the national language of India. He has said that the concept of a common language was not possible in the country.

If you will impose Hindi as a national language then not only Tamil Nadu instead all the southern wont accept it, he said while indicating a similar reaction from some north Indian states.

“A common language not just for India, but any country is good for its unity and progress. Unfortunately, (one cannot) bring a common language in our country. So you cannot impose any language,” he told reporters at Chennai airport today.
