:dateline:Octogenarian Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, who has been under police custody in DMCH Ludhiana since long, was reportedly beaten up in a brutal manner by a senior police cop during the past days.
It is notable here that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is on hunger strike since January 16, 2015 seeking release of political Sikh prisoners who are languishing in the Indian jails despite completing terms of their life sentences.
Sikh activist Bagicha Singh Rattakhera has shared an audio call recording over YouTube in which Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa could be listened sharing how brutally a DSP ranked police cop named Rajinder Brar beat him during the past days.
On being contacted by Sikh24, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s daughter Bibi Sarvarinder Kaur informed that misbehave and abusing by police cops has been the common thing till date but now the police cops have gone immensely brutal towards Bapu Ji.��
This is awful, that punjab police are beating Baba Surat Singh. The past 5 years Baba Surat Singh has been on hunger strike and all his demands have been ignored.
He has been ignored by everyone even Sikhs.
I am sure God must be looking.

Why can�t a FIR be filed against DSP Rajinder Brar He is not supposed to hit or torture a peaceful protesting prisoner, for a human Rights cause. We will raise this issue in the US HR bodies and put this in record.
