:dateline:The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has termed the incident of the murder of 64 year old Sikh Paramjit Singh in Tracy (California, USA) as an unfortunate one. He has said that such attacks on a peace loving community was the matter of concern and the governments of respective countries need to become sensitive on this issue.
Beside it, Longowal has also asked the Union government of India to rake up this issue with the governments of other countries. The Indian government needs to pay attention towards this issue on a priority basis as such incidents are developing a feeling of insecurity in Sikh diaspora, he added.
Longowal further said that the Sikhs are known for their hard working nature and they have made a major contribution in the development of the countries in which they are living but racial attacks on Sikhs definitely brings demoralization which ultimately affects their working.
It may be recalled here that a 64 year old Sikh man named Paramjit Singh was murdered in Gretchen Talley Park in Tracy (California) on August 25. The assailant, whose identity couldnt be established, repeatedly stabbed Paramjit Singh when he was on his evening walk in the park.
Maybe the SGPC needs to focus on their actions in Punjab and rectifying their ridiculousness before they start condemning actions outside of their jurisdiction. Fix the corruption problem in the SGPC and get the government monkeys out of the SGPC first. Get back to your Guru’s Sikhi and not some pandits idea of sikhi.
