Stop the construction work of Kartarpur corridor, suggests BJP leader Subramanian Swamy

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Amid ongoing escalations between India and Pakistan over revocation of the Article 370 in Kashmir, the senior BJP leader Dr. Subramanian Swamy has suggested that the construction work of the Kartrapur corridor should be stopped. He said this while accusing the Pakistan government of promoting terrorism.

Interacting with the media in Chandigarh today, Swamy said that the Sikh community needs to understand the situation and suspend the construction work of Kartarpur corridor with immediate effect. He added that the Indian government should not keep any relation with the Pakistan as it promotes terrorism.

“The construction work of Kartarpur corridor could be resumed once the relation between two countries get smooth,” he added.

Using an extremely objectionable language about the Sikhs plaintiff of a sovereign Sikh state, Swamy said that only the empty minded Sikhs demand Khalistan.

He claimed that he was quite keenly familiar with the Sikhs and they will definitely take a decision in the interests of India.
