Voices of J&K people must be heard to let idea of India prevail, says Dr. Manmohan Singh

:dateline:On August 12, the former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh stated that the scrapping of Article 370 by the BJP government has not been liked by a large section of the country. He added that it was necessary to hear the voices of J&K people if we want the idea of India to prevail.

Interacting with media in Hyderabad, Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the India is going through a deep crisis as the cooperation of like-minded people is weakening day by day.

Its outcome is not to the liking of many people of our country. It is important that the voice of all these people be heard. It is only by raising our voice that we can ensure that in the long run, the idea of India, which is very sacred to us, will prevail, Singh told reporters here.

Dr. Manmohan Singh was in Hyderabad to pay homage to his former cabinet colleague S Jaipal Reddy, who had passed away in July this year.
