:dateline:A delegation of Sikh activists headed by United Akali Dal�s president Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda today met the fasting Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa at DMC hospital of Ludhiana. Notably, 87 years old Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is on hunger strike since January 16, 2015 seeking release of political Sikh prisoners who have completed their life terms but are still languishing in the Indian jails.
Currently, he is being kept under illegal custody in Dayanand Medical College & Hospital of Ludhiana. The diet supplements and other liquid foods are being injected forcefully into his body through nose by the administration so that he could be kept alive.
UAD�s senior vice president Bahadur Singh Rahon, secretary general Bhai Jatinder Singh Isrhu, Baba Chamkaur Singh Bhai Rupa, Bhai Jaswinder Singh Gholia, Bhai Kulwinder Singh Daggo Romana etc. were also present on this occasion.
