SGPC sends first list of 480 devotees to Pakistani embassy for religious procession to be taken out on July 25

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee is on toes to make preparations for the international religious procession to be taken out from Gurdwara Sri Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib to Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi on July 25. It is learnt that the SGPC is working to get visas for 550 Sikh devotees to attend this religious procession from Pakistan.

Sharing the development with media, SGPC’s secretary Manjit Singh Bath informed that the route of this religious procession has been finalized and the first list of 480 devotees has been sent to the Indian and Pakistan government while other list is being prepared.  

He said that special arrangements have been made to welcome this religious procession on arrival at Attari and the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has been also invited by the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal.

He informed that this religious procession will start from Sri Nankana Sahib following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib on July 25.
