:dateline:The Indian Sikh jatha today returned back from Pakistan after marking the 180th death anniversary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Gurdwara Dehra Sahib (Lahore) and having glimpse of several other historic Sikh shrines. Notably, the SGPC�s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh was also a part of this jatha.
Interacting with the media, Dr. Roop Singh informed that they have invited the PSGPC�s president Tara Singh and the senior officials of ETPB to participate in the international religious procession to be taken out from Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib to Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi on July 25.
He said that the SGPC will provide every type of assistance for this religious procession and the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal along with other leaders will also attend this religious procession.
Dr. Roop Singh further informed that the Pakistan government will grant visa to 10,000 Sikhs on the eve of 550th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji due in November this year. �The Pakistan government has fixed November 9 while the Indian government has fixed November 11 to complete the work of Kartarpur corridor,� he added.
Gurmeet Singh Booh, who was heading this Sikh jatha, informed that the 180th death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh was observed near his cremation land. �The Sikh jatha paid obeisance at Gurdwara Panja Sahib (Hasan Abdal), Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Sacha Sauda (Farooqabad), Gurdwara Rodi Sahib (Aimnabad), Gurdwara Dehra Sahib (Lahore), Gurdwara Chuna Mandi, Gurdwara Bhai Taru Singh (Shaheedi Asthan) and Gurdwara Singh Singhniaan (Lahore),� he added.
Patiala resident Darshan Singh, who was also a part of this Sikh jatha, informed that they couldn�t pay obeisance at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib due to bad condition of the road.
