Law & order condition will get worse if Gurmeet Ram Rahim is granted parole, Sirsa villagers ask DC

:dateline:Although the BJP led Haryana government seems all set to grant parole to the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim but the outrage among common masses against his parole plea is getting intense day by day. It is learnt that people of around a dozen villages of Sirsa district have registered a strong protest against Gurmeet Ram Rahims parole plea by submitting a memorandum to the Sirsas Deputy Commissioner.

Sources have revealed that the residents of these villages have told the Sirsas Deputy Commissioner that the law and order in their villages was disrupted in August, 2017 when Gurmeet Ram Rahim was addressed life sentence for raping his two female disciples. The villagers have apprehended that the law and order condition in their villages might get affected again if Gurmeet Ram Rahim is granted parole.

Confirming the development, the Sirsas Deputy Commissioner Ashok Garg informed that the villagers have registered their objections on Gurmeet Ram Rahims parole plea. The report about Gurmeet Ram Rahims parole plea is still underway as the administration is thoroughly deliberating upon all the aspects, he added.
