Earlier, Khatta Singh had revoked his statement against Gurmeet Ram Rahim after being threatened by Sirsa cult disciples at the behest of rapist Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Khatta Singhs witness had played an important role in getting punished Gurmeet Ram Rahim for murdering journalist Ram Chandra Chhatrapati.

Speaking with media, Advocate Tejinder Singh Soodan, Advocate Harinderpal Singh Issar and Advocate Gagan Aggarwal apprehended that Gurmeet Ram Rahim might influence the witnesses against him if he comes out on parole as several criminal cases are still under trial against him. They also stated that re-confining Gurmeet Ram Rahim will become a big challenge for the administration if he is on parole.

It is pertinent to note here that the BJP led Haryana government might grant parole to Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the wake of upcoming assembly elections.
