CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Observing a robust response to the specially crafted coins of pure Gold and Silver in 5 grams and 10 grams variations, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has now also gotten ready these coins in 2.5 gram weight so that maximum Sikh devotees could purchase these coins on the eve of 550th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Sharing the development with media, the SGPC secretary Balwinder Singh Jaura Singha informed that the SGPC had earlier released 100 coins of gold and silver worth 5 grams and 10 grams in November last year. “Beside it, 250 coins of gold and silver worth 25 grams and 50 grams were also placed for auction,” he added.
“Now, we are releasing these coins third time, but this time coins of 2.5 grams in 24 carat quality are being released so that maximum Sikh devotees could procure these coins,” he added.
