CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Strongly condemning the barbaric act of the Delhi police for thrashing a Sikh man and his son, the Dal Khalsa has demanded FIR against all the ten police cops who went out to attack them under 307 IPC (attempt to murder) and their immediate arrest.
In a strong worded statement, party general secretary Paramjit Singh Tanda urged the new Union Home minister under whose command Delhi police falls, to rein in the force. He said the mere suspension of three cops wasn’t enough punishment for the crime committed by the police.
He said the cops went berserk and kicked the victim on his head while dragging him to the police station, where again he was beaten up in custody. They also beat up mercilessly the 13-year old son of the Sikh auto driver.
He said the Delhi police have perfected the art of public torture on ordinary citizens, and regretfully there seems no mechanism in place to stop it.
Sikhs need their own country Khalistan to protect their religion, language Punjabi, and their way of living.
