:dateline:Taking on the SGPC for not clarifying the picture on possession of missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji received from the Indian army, the SAD (Amritsar) leaders Navdeep Singh Amritsar and Gursharan Singh Sohal have said that the circumstances have made it clear that the missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are not in possession of SGPC now and were sold out much earlier.

In a press note shared with Sikh24, the SAD (Amritsar) office secretary Navdeep Singh Amritsar has said that the SGPC is now trying to evade the situation as it doesnt have any clear picture whether the saroops being questioned are in its possession or not. He added that it was very unfortunate that the SGPC needs writing experts to confirm whether the missing saroops being questioned exists in the Sikh Reference Library or not.

Slamming the SGPCs chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh, SAD (Amritsar) media incharge Gursharan Singh Sohal said that the SGPC and Shiromani Akali Dal have been befooling Sikhs from a long time, but now the time has come to question SGPC about missing treasure as it is accountable for it. Dr. Roop Singh is trying to bye-pass the situation by saying that the Indian army never returned full treasure rather than clarifying the possession of treasure received from the Indian army, he said while adding that everyone knows that the Indian army never returned whole treasure of Sikh Reference Library.
It may be recalled here that the SGPCs chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh had undergone meeting with about 21 serving and former SGPC officials (mostly related to Sikh Reference Library) at SGPCs headquarter Teja Singh Samundari Hall on June 13 amid serious allegations of selling the historic handwritten saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
During media briefing, Dr. Roop Singh had failed in clarifying the possession of saroops being questioned and tried to evade the situation by stating that the SGPC never received the whole treasure of Sikh Reference Library from the Indian army which was looted during the June-1984s holocaust.
