:dateline:According to the basic Nanakshahi calendar implemented by the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (PSGPC), the 413th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji will be observed on June 16 in Pakistan. Indian Sikh pilgrims will leave for Lahore on June 14 through a special train.
Amid ongoing controversy over amendment in the basic Nanakshahi calendar, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is not sending its Jatha to Pakistan like previous years.
Bishan Singh, the former PSGPC president, informed that a 10-days visa has been issued for the Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit Gurdwaras in Pakistan. The pilgrims will be directly taken to Lahore after their arrival at Wagah in a special train on June 14, he added.
