Can’t give up the demand of Khalistan but can abandon those who don’t agree, says Simranjit Singh Mann

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Addressing the Sikhs gathered at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to pay homage to the 1984’s martyrs, the SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann once again reiterated the demand of sovereign Sikh state Khalistan. He has said that his party can’t give up the demand of a buffer Sikh state, but they can definitely abandon those who don’t agree with the demand of Khalistan.

Citing the Gurbani verses “ਇਨ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਿਖਨ ਕੋ ਦੇਊਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਯਾਦ ਕਰੇਂ ਯੇਹ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ॥” uttered by the tenth Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Simranjit Singh Mann said that the Sikhs can’t live the life of slavery at any cost. “We want a sovereign Sikh state like Muslims get in 1947 as Pakistan and the Hindus as Hindustan,” he added.

He also enchanted slogans in favor of the great Sikh of 20th century Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and sovereign Sikh state Khalistan.
