CHANDIGARH,Punjab—On June 3, the five members of the SGPC’s sub-committee namely Manmohan Singh, Bibi Kiranjot Kaur, Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani and Simarjit Singh held a six hour long meeting to discuss upon the upcoming animation movie “Dastaan – E – Miri Piri”. Although, the SGPC tried to hide the proceedings of this meeting, but still it has come to fore that all these members have registered their objections and suggestions after thoroughly watching the movie.
It is also learnt that the producer and the director of this movie titled “Dastaan – E – Miri Piri” have been apprised of these objections and suggestions by the sub-committee and they have been asked to rectify the mistakes.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Chhattampeer Production has deferred the release of this movie until final clearance by the supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
It may be recalled here that the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had directed the Chhattampeer Production not to release the movie on June 5 and wait for his final decision. He had made it clear that the movable animations of Guru Sahib couldn’t be accepted at any cost.
