SGPC Announces to Install Dr. Santokh Singh’s Portrait in Central Sikh Museum

BHOPAL, Madhya Pradesh—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has announced to install the portrait of Dr. Santokh Singh in the central Sikh museum of Sri Harmandir Sahib. Notably, 96 years old Dr. Santokh Singh, who was the chief founder of All India Sikh Students Federation, had passed away on May 18 this year.

SGPC’s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh, who had come to Bhopal for attending a Gurmat Training Camp of children, made this revelation while extending condolences to the aggrieved family of Dr. Santokh Singh on May 31.

Dr. Roop Singh also inaugurated the extension of Free Dispensary established by Dr. Santokh Singh in T.T Nagar of Bhopal in 1969. Needy patients are treated free of cost in this dispensary, where scores of Doctors, specialist of various diseases, are serving now.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr. Roop Singh highly hailed the services of Dr. Santokh Singh to the Panth. He encouraged the Sikh youths to take inspiration from the life of Dr. Santokh Singh.
