Manjit Singh GK Asks Sukhbir Badal to Resign from SAD’s Presidency

NEW DELHI, India—As soon as the details of the chargesheet filed by the SIT in Kotkapura firing case got public on May 30, the Ex-DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK has asked the former deputy CM of Punjab Sukhbir Badal to resign from Shiromani Akali Dal’s presidency. Notably, the SIT had termed the sacrilege incidents as a pre-planned handiwork of Sukhbir Badal, Sumedh Saini and Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the chargesheet filed in Kotkapura firing case on May 28.

GK, who is also facing corruption charges, has said that he had resigned from the DSGMC’s presidency when the Delhi police had registered a complaint leveling allegations of financial irregularities against him. “I dare Sukhbir Badal to resign from the party’s presidency as he has been now indicted by the SIT,” he added.
