:dateline:The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has appealed the Gurdwara Management Committees of all villages, cities and towns to keep the volume of speakers listenable within Gurdwara premises only.
SGPC secretary Manjit Singh Bath has said that the voice of the speakers should be kept limited upto the premises of the Gurdwara Sahibs, so that the common masses residing in the vicinity shouldnt face any disturbance. He added that the directions of supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib ought to be followed in this concern.
Manjit Singh Bath further said that students often get affected due to loud volume of speakers in their residential areas. Apart from this, old aged and patients also have to go through difficulties due to excessive sounding of the speakers, he added.
“Keeping in view these aspects, all Gurdwara Management Committees, must adhere to Akal Takhts order of keeping the volume of the speakers controlled,” he said.
