:dateline:SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has expressed deep grief over the burning of the six sacred saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at village Chak Sikandar (near Jhabal, Tarn Taran). Notably, six holy saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were burnt in this fire originated from a short-circuit in electric supply on May 7. �
Longowal has said that the tragic incidents of the fire due to short-circuit in electrical appliances in the Gurdwaras are not getting controlled despite repeated appeals. He urged the management committees of Gurdwaras and the Sangat to ensure that electric appliances should be used only when needed and the power supply should be kept off at night.
