:dateline:On April 30, the Sikh activists taken out a protest march in Tarn Taran against the local police’s defensive approach towards SGPC officials and the Kaar sewa sect head Baba Jagtar Singh who demolished the historic Darshani Deodi of Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib. Starting from Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib, the march concluded at Bohri Chowk where the Sikh protesters set afire an effigy of demolishers.
Addressing the media on this occasion, SAD (Amritsar) leader Pritpal Singh Amritsar said that the demolishers of historic Darshani Deodi were not being booked by the local police despite repeated complaints by the Sikh sangat. He added that now the mutual understanding between the SGPC officials and the Kaar Sewa sect head Baba Jagtar Singh about demolishing the historic Darshani Deodi has been exposed but still the local police was not ready to indict them.
“If the local police don’t indict the SGPC officials and Baba Jagtar Singh, then they would be forced to besiege the Kaar Sewa cult of Baba Jagtar Singh in coming days,” he added.
Later, the Sikh protesters also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner seeking indictment of SGPC officials and Baba Jagtar Singh for demolishing the historic Darshani Deodi of Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib.
