CHANDIGARH, Punjab—In an FIR pertaining to the Saka Behbal Klan, the Special Investigation Team filed a chargesheet against the Ex-SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma in the Faridkot Court on April 25. Notably, an FIR No. 130 was registered at the Bajakhana police station on under sections 302, 307, 201, 218, 166-A and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code. Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act were also added to it.
Sharing the development with media, an official spokesperson of the Punjab police the investigation in this case was still underway and a supplementary challan would be filed in Court after completion of investigation. “Anyone found guilty will be prosecuted as per the law,” he added.
It may be recalled here that two innocent Sikh youths namely Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan were martyred in an unprovoked firing opened by the Punjab police cops on peacefully protesting Sikhs at Behbal Klan in October-2015. Later, the Police cops had claimed counter-firing by using some personal weapons to fire upon their vehicles. The Police cops had even registered a case against 200 unidentified Sikhs for opening fire on the Police cops, but now the SIT has found that all this was framed by the killer police cops to claim that they opened fire after being attacked.
