Portraits of Giani Waryam Singh Dhurkot and Giani Joga Singh Jogi Installed in Central Sikh Museum

:dateline:The portraits of two eminent Sikh personalities Sant Giani Waryam Singh Dhurkot and Giani Joga Singh Jogi were installed in the central Sikh museum of Sri Harmandir Sahib on April 22. Notably, the duo Sikh personalities are renowned for their significant contribution in preaching Sikhism.

SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal, Sri Harmandir Sahib�s head granthi Giani Mann Singh and Giani Gurminder Singh unveiled the portraits following a religious ceremony. Hazoori Raagis of Sri Harmandir Sahib delighted the program attendees with melodious Kirtan while Bhai Sultan Singh performed Ardas in this religious program.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal termed the contributions made by Sant Giani Waryam Singh Dhurkot and Giani Joga Singh Jogi as a source of inspiration for the next generations. �Giani Waryam Singh Dhurkot spent 55 years of his life in Gurmat Vidyalya and prepared hundreds of youths to preach Sikhism while Giani Joga Singh Jogi promoted Kavishari by writing around 20 books and with hundreds of �records� of Kavishari,� he added.

Longowal further said that the installation of the portraits of these Sikh personalities will encourage the next generations towards preachment of Sikhism.
