CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Former Congress parliamentarian Jagmeet Singh Brar today joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) in a special program organized at his residence in Mukatsar Sahib. The SAD patron Parkash Badal, SAD president Sukhbir Badal, Bibi Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Bikram Singh Majithia officially took him into the party fold by offering a Siropao (robe of honor).
Former Punjab CM Parkash Badal categorized the development as historic while hailing Jagmeet Singh Brar with adjectives like a biggest spokesperson, an experienced politician, a disciplined politician with awesome intellect and a renowned politician. He said that Jagmeet Singh Brar has a long political experience and his induction will benefit the Shiromani Akali Dal in the upcoming parliamentary polls.
