Demolition of Historic Darshani Deodi: Longowal Claims Innocence, Suspends Manager

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A press note shared by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee claims that its president Gobind Singh Longowal has taken a strong notice of the demolition of two centuries old historic Darshani Deodi of Sri Darbar Sahib Tarn Taran. The press note states that the SGPC president has constituted a three member investigation committee comprising of SGPC members Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Bhai Ram Singh and Gurmeet Singh Booh. Beside it, the Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Tarn Taran named Partap Singh has been suspended.

The press note also informs that the SGPC has withdrawn the services of Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib (Tarn Taran) from the Tarn Taran based Kaar Sewa seminary headed by Baba Jagtar Singh.

Although, the SGPC authorities have tried to claim innocence in this concern but its control over the statewide historic Sikh shrines has once again come under question mark.

Meanwhile, it has come to fore that this historic Darshani Deodi has been demolished as per a secret deal between the SGPC’s general secretary Gurbachan Singh Karmuwala and Kaar Sewa seminary head Baba Jagtar Singh.

  1. RSS/Modi gang/Hindu agencies are directly responsible for this and Longowal as well as Badal or both complicit in this. After Harmandir Sahib’s historic destruction in the name of making it a “tourist spot with VIP lounges ” this dastardly act is a part of the series which aims to destroy Sikh history, culture and identity. The recent attacks on Sikhs in Haryana, Rudarpur and preventing Sikhs from giving exams with their articles of faith or all being done at the behest of Hindu agencies under RSS/Modi.
