:dateline:A Morinda based Chemist named Balwinder Singh shot dead a female Drug Inspector named Neha Shoree on March 29 for cancelling the license of his medical store. The victim Drug Inspector Neha Shoree was 40 years old and was deployed as a Zonal Licensing Authority at the Drug and Food Control Laboratory in Kharar.
As per the media reports, the assailant chemist Balwinder Singh arrived into the office of Neha Shoree at 11:40 am on March 29 and fired two bullets on her with his licensed revolver. After firing bullets, he tried to run but the office staff nabbed him on the spot.
The incident turned more tragic when the attacker Balwinder Singh also shot himself at point blank range after finding no way to run away, thus leaving no room for the justice to be delivered to him for his crime.
Although the duo was rushed to the nearby Hospital but they succumbed to their injuries.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has directed the Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta to probe the murder.
