Notorious IG Paramraj Umranangal Sent to Police Remand for Four Days

FARIDKOT, Punjab—Notorious IG Paramraj Umranangal, who was arrested on February 18 by the Special Investigation Team in Kotkapura and Behbal Klan firing cases, was produced before the Faridkot Court today. The Court sent him to Police remand for four days.

It may be recalled here that the Special Investigation Team headed by IG Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh had arrested Paramraj Singh Umranangal yesterday by calling him for a meeting at the Police headquarters. Although the SIT had arranged civil clothes for Umranangal but still they couldn’t make any arrangement for his turban and he was arrested while wearing turban.

Sources have revealed that Paramraj Umranangal spent the intervening night of February 18 and 19 in the Sadar Police Station of Faridkot.

It is learnt that the case in which the SIT has arrested IG Paramraj Umranangal also includes the non-bailable sections of the Indian Penal Code due to which he won’t be able to get bail.
