CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Former AISSF president Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, who had joined Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) on January 14, has been appointed as a general secretary and spokesman of the party. Notably, three veteran Akali leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Rattan Singh Ajnala and Sewa Singh Sekhwan had constituted SAD (Taksali) on December 16.
Sharing the development with media, the Secretary General of SAD (Taksali) Sewa Singh Sekhwan informed that the appointment of Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad has been made keeping in view his services for the party. He added that the appointment of Peer Mohammad as a party’s spokesperson will help them in conveying the party’s ideology to the common masses through the media. “Several other appointments will also be made in coming days” said Sekhwan.
It may be recalled here that on joining the SAD (Taksali), Peer Mohammad had said that he will work for the Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) as a common worker and will keep on doing his minute part for the high spirit of Sikh Panth like a sparrow spraying water on the forest under fire with her beak.
