The eternal Master is very dear to me. Through the Word of the perfect Guru, He has become my life-support. -Guru Amar Das Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 116

Message: In life, we seek support from friends and loved ones which is fine, but these are never, ever everlasting.  Sometimes, we go out of our way and seek peace and solace from pseudo saints and sadhus.  At the end, all this comes to nothing. To Guru Amar Das, the true and eternal Master is very dear.  The only Master who will provide support for lifelong is the Almighty.

Etymology: Blend of ati (very) + piaaraa from Sanskrit priyakaar (agreeable, doing a kindness) → Apabhransh piyaarya (dear) → Sindhi piaaro and Lahndi/Punjabi piaaraa (dear).
